How to compute your PhilHealth contribution
- Take your monthly basic salary. If it is below ₱10,000, use ₱10,000; above ₱100,000, use ₱100,000.
- Multiply by 5% for the total premium.
- Divide by 2: that is your share; your employer pays the other half. Example: ₱30,000 × 5% = ₱1,500 → ₱750 each.
Voluntary, self-employed and OFW members
Without an employer, you pay the full 5% of your declared monthly income yourself, within the same floor and ceiling: ₱500 to ₱5,000 a month.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the PhilHealth contribution in 2026?
The premium is 5% of your monthly basic salary, with an income floor of ₱10,000 and a ceiling of ₱100,000. Employees and employers split it equally, so you pay 2.5%: from ₱250 up to ₱2,500 a month.
What is the minimum and maximum PhilHealth contribution?
The total premium ranges from ₱500 a month (salaries of ₱10,000 or less) to ₱5,000 a month (salaries of ₱100,000 or more). For employees, the personal share is half of that: ₱250 to ₱2,500.
How much do voluntary, self-employed or OFW members pay?
Direct contributors without an employer pay the full 5% of their declared monthly income themselves, within the same ₱10,000 floor and ₱100,000 ceiling, so ₱500 to ₱5,000 a month. They can pay monthly, quarterly or yearly.
How is PhilHealth deducted from my salary?
Your employer deducts your 2.5% share from your pay, adds their own 2.5%, and remits the total to PhilHealth. You can check posted contributions in the PhilHealth member portal.
Is PhilHealth deducted from my 13th month pay?
No. PhilHealth is based on your monthly basic salary, not on the 13th month pay or other bonuses.
