How to compute your Pag-IBIG contribution

  1. Take your monthly compensation, up to a maximum of ₱10,000.
  2. Multiply by 2% (1% if your compensation is ₱1,500 or less) for your share.
  3. Your employer adds 2% of the same amount. Example: ₱8,000 × 2% = ₱160 each.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Pag-IBIG contribution in 2026?

Employees pay 2% of their monthly compensation (1% if it is ₱1,500 or less) and employers add 2%, computed on up to ₱10,000. So most employees pay ₱200 a month and their employer adds ₱200, ₱400 in total.

Why is my Pag-IBIG only ₱200 even with a high salary?

The contribution is computed on a maximum fund salary of ₱10,000. At 2%, that caps the required share at ₱200 each for you and your employer, whatever your salary above ₱10,000.

Can I contribute more than ₱200 to Pag-IBIG?

Yes. You can voluntarily raise your regular savings, or open MP2, a separate 5-year savings program with tax-free dividends that you fund on top of the required contribution.

How much do OFW and self-employed members pay?

Members without an employer (self-employed, voluntary and OFW members) pay their contributions themselves, based on their declared monthly income. Check the current Pag-IBIG guidelines for your membership category; you can always save more than the minimum.

What do Pag-IBIG contributions give me?

Your savings earn yearly dividends and are returned at retirement or membership maturity, and they qualify you for Pag-IBIG housing, multi-purpose and calamity loans.
